The Opportunity We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join a dedicated facilities team supporting a prominent state government department in Wacol. This ongoing role offers consistent hours, excellent pay, and strong long-term career stability. With the opportunity to transition to permanent employment or remain ongoing casual after your initial 3 months on assignment.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation, plating, and meal portioning.

• Operating commercial dishwashers, pot washing, and maintaining kitchen sanitation standards.

• Storing incoming food deliveries and maintaining clean, organised cold/dry storage areas.

• Upholding strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines at all times.

What You Need:

• Clearance: Valid Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is mandatory.

• Experience: Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or Catering Assistant in a commercial or institutional setting.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of food hygiene practices and WHS standards.

• Work Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
